Who is the best high school athlete you have competed against?
Rodney Gallagher (Laurel Highlands, Pa.)
 
Favorite subject in school?
Math
 
You have to go into quarantine, what three items do you make sure you have with you?
I need my phone, some Chex Mix and my air pods.
 
What game of your career sticks out the most?
Probably my first game ever at the IOGA Tournament against Gilmer County. It was kind of like a learning curve.
 
Describe Coach Marshall in one word.
Tough
 
You have to race your two brothers (distance running standouts Mark and Michael), who wins?
If it’s long distance, they’ve got it but I’m winning a sprint easily.
 
Celebrity Crush?
Eva Cudmore
 
Besides being able to play basketball again, what is the best part of spring being on the way?
Getting back to start golfing on the weekends.
 
Any secret talents that most people would be surprised to know you have?
I’m a really good dancer. I got a lot of good moves.
 
What would be more exciting to make, a hole-in-one or a game-winning shot?
A hole-in-one for sure, that’s like a once in a lifetime thing.
 
Who’s the funniest player on the BHS basketball player?
Besides me, Julian Skasik.
 
Where’s one place in the world you have never been to that you would like to visit?
I’ve already been there, but I would like to go to Switzerland again.
 
Favorite meal?
Chik-fil-A 12-piece nugget meal.
 
Favorite pro or college athlete?
Jordan McCabe
 
Favorite pro or college team?
WVU for sure.
 
2020 was a rough year for everybody, what’s one positive you can take from it?
My friends, building a strong friend group that you don’t take for granted.
 
The coolest animal at the zoo?
A lion.
 
What music are listening to before the game to get you fired up?
Anything The Kid LAROI  and Juice Wrld.
 
Most memorable sports moment you have had as a fan?
Probably just watching John Wilfong and all of them play down here against Fairmont Senior, Byrd. I loved watching those games.
 
What’s one thing it seems like everybody you know likes but you can’t stand?
NBA YoungBoy
 
The best thing on TV right now is?
March Madness
 
What is the most important thing being an athlete at BHS has taught you?
To have sportsmanship and be humble. It’s not all about just sports, you are playing for your community.
 
There’s a young kid in the community just getting into sports, what advice do you give him or her?
Don’t take it for granted. It means a lot to people in Bridgeport, they will get behind you and you kind of have to play for them.
