Tribe's Spatafore Earns First-Team Honors on All Big 10 Conference Boys Basketball Squad

Bridgeport High School basketball standout Anthony Spatafore has been named a first-team All Big 10 Conference selection.
 
Fairmont Senior’s Zycheus Dobbs has been chosen as the Big 10 Player of the Year and East Fairmont’s Ty Asterino was picked as the league’s Coach of the Year.
 
The All Big 10 team, Player of the Year and Coach of the Year are all selected by the Big 10 Coaches and administrators.
 
Spatafore, a senior, averaged 17.1 points, 5 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.7 steals per game en route to leading the Indians to an 18-8 record and a spot in the Class AAAA state tournament where they lost in the quarterfinals to eventual state champion Morgantown.
 
Joining Spatafore and Dobbs on the All Big 10 first team are East Fairmont’s Evan Parr, Philip Barbour’s T.D. Bodkins, Elkins’ Cory Harper, Grafton’s J.T. Veltri, Fairmont Senior’s DeSean Goode, Robert C. Byrd’s Brayden Thomason, North Marion’s Harley Sickles, East Fairmont’s Jackson Carouso, Lewis County’s Ben Putnman and Elkins’ Malachi Watson.
 
The second team consists of North Marion’s Preston Williams, Elkins’ Tanner Miller, Lincoln’s David Burdette, Robert C. Byrd’s Quintin Cooley, Fairmont Senior’s Andre Grant, East Fairmont’s Grayson Stewart, Lewis County’s Tanner Griffith, Liberty’s Noah McKim, Liberty’s Jenson Dodd, Philip Barbour’s Kaden Humphreys, Grafton’s Jacob Maier and Lincoln’s Brayden Edgell.
