WVU to Face No. 1 Gonzaga in Men's Hoops Dec. 2

The 15th-ranked West Virginia University men’s basketball team will participate in this year’s Jimmy V Classic against No. 1 Gonzaga at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Wednesday, Dec. 2.
West Virginia and Gonzaga will be the first game of the doubleheader, tipping at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN. Baylor will face Illinois in the second game.
The two teams last met in the 2017 NCAA Sweet 16 in San Jose, California, with Gonzaga winning, 61-58.
This will be WVU’s fourth appearance in the Jimmy V Classic. The Mountaineers faced Davidson in 2008, Virginia in 2015 and Florida in 2018.
