New Restaurant Coming off Jerry Dove Drive Bringing Italian Flair to The Market Place Closer to Opening

By Jeff Toquinto on May 05, 2025

It was nearly a year ago when a local developer confirmed that a retail plaza just off Jerry Dove Drive would be home to a new Italian Restaurant. And while that eatery still has not opened, all signs are pointing to it opening soon.

In late May of 2024, Metro Property Management’s David Biafora, whose company develops the Market Place, confirmed that Casa D'Amici will be heading there. Biafora said the Italian restaurant will be located in the same building that houses Don Patron and Stone Tower Brews. The exact location is directly beside Don Patron.

Earlier in 2025, in January, when asked about the opening, Biafora said he expected it to be “soon,” although he did not have a timeline. At that time, the building still stood vacant with a few boxes inside.

Fast forward a few months and there are some changes. The Casa D'Amici sign is attached to the building. And work is being done inside. However, the nature of the work and the amount of the work is unknown as tape is situated over the doors.

An attempt to reach Casa D'Amici via social media was unsuccessful. An employee at the Morgantown location said Friday they were “opening soon.” However, he did not have a time frame regarding the opening.

Casa D'Amici is located in Morgantown, Pierpont Landing (in Cheat Lake area), and White Hall. Along with their signature pizza, there is plenty of additional Italian offerings on the menu. Casa D'Amici serves various types of pasta, calzones, salads, hero sandwiches, as well as desserts and appetizers.

Editor’s Note: Photo shows the sign at its location in The Market Place. Food photos from the Casa D'Amici Facebook page.
