You Rang? Yes, and Ringing Coming from Philippi as Annual Lurch Fest Set for Museum Street Saturday

According to WDTV, the Lurch Fest will be coming to Philippi this Saturday, August 3.
 
The event will take place on Museum Street in Philippi from noon to dark on Saturday, August 3rd and will feature live music, craft beer, food, craft vendors and a costume contest.
 
Ted Cassidy, the actor most notable for his role as Lurch, the Addams Family’s butler, grew up in Philippi.
 
The costume contest categories will be “Best Addams Family,” “Best Original,” and “Best Ted Cassidy.” Signups for the contest will take place from noon to 4:30 p.m., a costume parade will follow at 5, and the winners will be announced after that.
 
There will be a variety of live music throughout the day. Greg Short and Friends will play from noon to 1, The Greg Ice Band will play from 1 to 3, Full Cirkle will play from 3 to 5, Electric Blue will play from 5 to 7, and Soda Pop Gypsies will finish the day from 7 to 9 p.m.
 
The event is sponsored by Philippi Main Street, the Barbour County Historical Museum, the Philippi Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, Create Philippi and Barbour County Arts.
