Part Time Receptionist

The City of Bridgeport Parks and Recreation department is in need of a new employee at the Benedum Civic Center. However, we are seeking a special person . While the City normally posts all positions on Indeed ( and this one is posted there) we tend to do much better with word of mouth for this particular position.
 
The position is that of a part time Receptionist at the Civic Center. This position is charged with supervising the Civic Center mainly on evenings and weekends. The Benedum Civic Center is the City’s community center which offers community programs, meeting space for many of our non-profit community groups, a home of many special events and a venue for parties, showers and even small weddings.
 
The ideal candidate is someone who likes to interact with others, provide friendly service and mainly likes to serve their community. Given the scope of the position, most of the hours are evenings and weekends during the various events and activities. The ideal candidate has been individuals who are seeking part time hours. We have great luck with employees who are looking for some casual extra hours in addition to another job and especially with retired folks seeking the opportunity to get out of the house and interact with others.
