Cassandra Marsh, Conner Blake, Two Bridgeport High DECA Students, Earn Honors at Charleston Event

According to information from the Harrison County School District Facebook page, which is the official page of the Harrison County Board of 
Education, Bridgeport High School recently had two students perform well at an event in Charleston.

Juniors Conner Blake and Cassandra Marsh placed first and second, respectively, at the DECA Career Development Conference (CDC) at the Charleston Marriot and Conference Center this month.
Blake took top honors in Restaurant and Food Service Management. Marsh placed second in Principles of Business Management and Administration.
The DECA competitions included a 100-question timed exam, a role-play, a presentation, a written event such as a business plan or community service project, or some combination of these. The conference hosted more than 200 students competing from various schools throughout the state.
Students who placed first or second in their event qualify to compete at the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Orlando April 21-25 and attend DECA day in the Parks at Disney World.
