By Chris Johnson on November 13, 2022

What’s your favorite movie?
Ready Player One

Who is the best high school athlete you have competed against?
I’m going to go win Cyrus Traugh from Parkersburg South.

Favorite subject in school?
Math.

Any pregame superstitions or rituals?
No not really, I do like to take a nap before just to help keep the nerves down.

What game of your career sticks out the most?
My first varsity start last year at corner as a junior against Morgantown. That one really hit home.

Can you describe Coach Phares in one word?
Resilient.

Celebrity Crush?
I’ll go with Katie Sigmond.

Who’s the funniest player on the BHS football team?
There’s a bunch of them but, I have to go with Mario Galindo.

If they would let you have a walk-up song, what’s playing?
Can’t Be Stopped by Roy Jones Jr.

Where’s one place in the world you have never been to that you would like to visit?
Greece.

Thanksgiving is coming up. What’s the must-have side dish for Thanksgiving dinner?
The rolls. The rolls are the best.

Favorite meal?
A nice cheeseburger. I love a nice burger.

What’s more exciting a big play on offense or defense?
For me offense, but it is really exciting to have one on defense too.

Favorite pro or college athlete?
Sauce Gardner from the New York Jets.

Favorite pro or college team?
WVU for college. Seattle Seahawks for pro.

What’s one thing it seems like everybody you know likes but you can’t stand?
I kind of like everything, but maybe country music.

The best thing on TV right now is?
Outer Banks on Netflix.

Being a standout on the track and field team as well, which of your football teammates would you like to see come out for track and make an impact?
There’s a few. Probably Charlie Brazier and Zach Rohrig and maybe Josh Love. We want Charlie to come out try some hurdles so we can get that shuttles relay record.

What is your go-to concession stand order?
A pepperoni roll with cheese.

You wake up tomorrow as a superhero. What is your power?
Super strength.

What is the most important thing being an athlete at BHS has taught you?
The importance of tradition. Coming out and learning from the older kids and being a part of Bridgeport tradition.

There’s a young kid in the community just getting into soccer what advice do you give him or her?
Stick to the game and work hard.
