Huggins 13th Annual Fish Fry to Feature John Daly

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on January 08, 2025

College Basketball Hall of Famer Coach Bob Huggins is pleased to announce the 13th Annual Bob Huggins Fish Fry with special guest, Golf
Icon & Major Champion, John Daly. Reserve your seat to get a glimpse of two legends and get ready to be entertained by their commentary as they share the stage to host this special annual event.

The evening will also include live music, silent and live auctions, special merchandise, delicious food, and a dinner show featuring Coach Huggins and friends. The 2025 Bob Huggins Fish Fry will take place on Saturday, Feb. 1, at Mylan Park in Morgantown. Doors will open at 5:30PM. The Boston Beanery will cater the event, serving up fan-favorite bites for a true West Virginia feast. Secure your spot for the event at BobHugginsFishFry.org.

Daly, one of the most charismatic in professional golf, is known for his powerful drives, unique style and unfiltered personality that has captured the hearts of fans worldwide. A two-time major champion, Daly won the 1991 PGA Championship and the 1995 Open Championship, solidifying his place in golf history. Beyond the course, he is a passionate philanthropist and musician.

Proceeds from the Bob Huggins Fish Fry, presented by Little General Stores, benefit the Norma Mae Huggins Cancer Endowment in support of cancer care services at Vandalia Health and the Remember the Miners Scholars Program.  The Norma Mae Huggins Cancer Endowment was established by Huggins family in their mother’s name to support cancer care and research across West Virginia. Coach Huggins has partnered with Vandalia Health to help provide cancer care services spanning the entire state of West Virginia. The Remember the Miners Scholars Program provides scholarships to engineering students who concentrate on mining and mining safety.

“We are deeply grateful to Coach Huggins, his family, and friends for their unwavering support, which has been instrumental in helping Vandalia Health expand cancer care across West Virginia," said David Goldberg, President and CEO of Mon Health System and Executive Vice President of Vandalia Health-Northern Region. "Thanks to the dedication and generosity of supporters, we have been able to expand access to cancer care and screenings along with advancing treatment options to serve even more rural communities. These advancements
ensure that patients throughout the state receive expert, compassionate cancer care close to home. Coach Huggins' commitment to this cause is truly making a lasting difference in the lives of countless families.”
