West Virginia University football coach Neal Brown's 2 p.m. press conference settled one question that has been at the forefront of everyone's mind. Who will be the starting quarterback for the August 31 opener against James Madison.
Early in the press conference, Brown stated that Oklahoma transfer Austin Kendall will be the man taking snaps to begin the 2019 campaign.
It's the second major announcement involving a quarterback and WVU today. Earlier, the NCAA announced that Jarret Doege - a transfer from Bowling Green - was eligible immediately. However, Brown stated that he still plans on redshirting Doege.
