Job Summary:
The City of Bridgeport Public Library is in search of a part-time Library Aide. This individual will assist patrons with checking out books for borrow, renewing book borrows, check in books and materials, as well as collect fines and fees. They interface with the patrons, answer questions, and look up information. They operate the circulation desk in accordance with established policies and procedures. Aides are responsible for providing guidance to the Pages. This is a part time position and requires working days, evenings, and weekends as scheduled.
Required Qualifications:
· High School diploma or GED, preferably with some experience in library work.
· Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively interact with the public and coworkers in a courteous and tactful manner.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office Applications.
