According to WDTV, a woman was killed in a log truck accident in Taylor County Tuesday.
While negotiating a right-hand curve, the trailer portion of the log truck crossed into the eastbound lane and overturned onto a 2019 Ford F-150 that was being operated by Shonda Rawlings-Henderson, 51, of Dinwiddie, Virginia, officials state.
Rawlings-Henderson was pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained in the collision. The log truck was being driven by Robert Evans III, 22, of Eglon, police said.
A crash investigation and a criminal investigation are both ongoing, police said.
The May 19 accident was called in at 9:20 a.m. It was on Thornton Pike, U.S. Route 50.

The Taylor County EMS, Grafton Fire Department, State Police, WV Division of Highways, Taylor County Sheriff’s Office, Fellowsville Fire Department and Taylor County Office of Emergency Management responded to the scene and were still at the scene as of 11 a.m.
